Day Tours

Student Ecotourism Guided Day Tour

This student's fully guided day tour package is an informative and educational experience to see some of the Gold Coast's hidden natural treasures. Start the educational journey with a scenic ferry ride along the marine foreshore habitats of the Coomera River, South Stradbroke Island  and the National Marine Park of the Gold Coast Broadwater to our resort. Once arrived, you will be met by our Environmental Guides where your introduction to the unique natural habitats of South Stradbroke Island will commence. Including our 'Jurrasic Era' Livistona rainforest precinct, you will learn about the island's aboriginal and european history, as well as the natural beauty of the ecosystems as you take a leisurely walk through the resort and surrounds.

Once you've finished your educational journey, it's time to enjoy a healthy lunch (included) , and then discover Couran Cove's diverse range of sporting and recreational facilities. The ferry transfer back to the mainland is then 2 choices of 3.00pm or 5.00pm.

Environmental Initiatives Day Tour
An invitation to capture the inner-workings of a very unique island resort to discover how an award-winning Ecotourism resort operates successfully within unique natural ecosystems. One of our experienced guides from the Environmental Centre will take you to key sites on the resort and explain the processes and technology of world leading Ecotourism. Many of Couran Cove's Ecotourism initiatives were Australian firsts not only for Tourism operations but any commercial 'green' business.

Go behind the scenes of a large scale working tourism resort that is essentially self-sufficient from the mainland community. These areas cover Power Generation - LPG power station, Water Provision - underground watertable purification system, and Waste Management - worm farm, recycling waste management systems for liquid and solid wastes. 

Once you've finished your educational journey, it's time to enjoy a healthy lunch (included) , and then discover Couran Cove's diverse range of sporting and recreational facilities. The ferry transfer back to the mainland is then 2 choices of 3.00pm or 5.00pm.

Student School Camp Accommodation Packages

Your student group 'School accommodation packages will provide your students with an educational experience they are sure to benfit from and remember with enthusiasm. Our packages give you the option of including lunch, morning/afternoon tea, sports and recreational activities and environmental tours. The choice is yours.
Accommodation in a Marine Deluxe room starts from $55.00 per student per night (based on minimum triple share). Return ferry transfers from $20 per student.
Our fully catered school group meal package starts from $82.00 per student per night. The package consists of a full buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at Poolside Cafe at Spa Island (subject to change).
